Gregory D. Rinehart & Associates provides real estate appraisal services from offices in Lafayette, California. As the successor firm to Burchard & Rinehart, which had served Northern California clients since 2002, Gregory D. Rinehart & Associates specializes in eminent domain, condemnation, right of way acquisition, and other real estate appraisal assignments, serving public agencies, law firms, and property owners.  Mr. Rinehart was awarded the MAI designation of the Appraisal Institute in October 2001, and soon thereafter co-founded Burchard and Rinehart.  He is a member of the Northern California Chapter of the Appraisal Institute having served as a Director, Seminars Chair person, and Chapter President.  Mr. Rinehart similarly served on the Board of the International Right of Way Association Chapter 2 through the Committee Chairs and as Chapter President in 2017.  Mr. Rinehart has over 30 years of real estate appraisal experience, with a strong eminent domain background.  Recent assignments include numerous appraisals of properties impacted by the California High Speed Rail project.  Gregory D. Rinehart & Associates provides insightful observations of project impacts, and credible and defensible valuation opinions.  Mr. Rinehart has conducted hundreds of partial acquisition appraisal assignments concerning office, retail, industrial, agricultural, and special purpose properties for a wide variety of public and private clients.  Considerable litigation experience makes Gregory D. Rinehart & Associates uniquely qualified to provide high quality appraisal services for complex condemnation matters.

In his spare time, Mr. Rinehart is an avid competitive rower, and a member of the Marin Rowing Association. Other interests include jogging, weight training, piano study, cooking, philately and numismatics.
